A lot of successful artists end up creating some sort of gimmick for themselves then sticking with it whether they like it anymore or not. Wayne White would definitely be one such artist. His schtick was he took old paintings he bought on the cheap at Goodwills, and then he'd paint three-dimensional words into the painting. There was one that was originally hunting dogs that he splashed a giant skinny block letter "LSD" into the scene which I dug, but plenty of options. I am a word guy so big giant words painted into shitty thrift store art speaks to me pretty strongly. I think in words, process everything in words, and often times I have dreams where I'm reading books and notebooks full of shit I've written. So of course I'd love a gimmick like Wayne White's, although having perused him inside the internets, some of his later stuff is getting busier and not as simply striking as the earliest shit he did under this idea. But I can understand, it's gotta be painful as fuck to think up something retarded like that, have it take off, and be stuck with it like a creative albatross for as long as you're willing to want to pay bills successfully and on time.
Also, I forgot to mention Wayne White was co-creator, set design freak for Pee Wee's Playhouse. That's kinda prominent, that one of the best kids shows ever was run by a couple of grade A degenerates.

A bunch of this dude's paintings are up on the wall in a hipster diner near where I live here in LA. I had no idea he was an artist of note, much less a contributor to Peewee's playhouse.
