As a kid, I thought my backroad was laid with common rocks&diamonds. That southern VA pavement would sparkle & gleam in the summer sun with undiggable promise. As an older kid, I learned it was just quartz mixed with granite. I like comparing road composites across the country. The edges are the best place to learn. I like this poem. I met a Canadian wolf last night named King. We danced. He was a beast & I was the Belle.
